Friends of GHEMS and the GHEMS Garden Club will be hosting meetups in the Garrett Heights garden on Saturday mornings this summer. We will be working on the garden, watering, and hopefully harvesting and trying some of the vegetables that we have grown. It's also an opportunity to meet and get to know other school families and community members. Come join us to do some gardening or just to hang out.When: Saturdays, June 29 - August 10, 2024, 8 - 10:30 am
Where: The Garrett Heights EMS garden - 2800 Ailsa Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21214
Who: Students, families and community members
What to bring: Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.). Water bottle. A snack, if needed.
It's going to be a hot summer, so make sure you bring sun protection and a water bottle. We will have extra water on hand. There is shade on the Ailsa side of the school and bench seating in the outdoor classroom area. We have some gardening trowels and gloves for kids and adults, but feel free to bring some of your own tools if you have them.
