For the very first time Gewalt is playing in Thessaloniki.
Thanx for the invitation to the 60th Anniversary of Dimitria Festival. The show is co organized by Goethe Institute Thessaloniki.
So yeah, Gewalt dropped their all-too-bloody-relevant record Doppeldenk and took it round Mexico, the States, the UK and half of Europe – and then the Swedish nutters in Refused went, “Oi, come support us.”
Now autumn’s rolling in and the gang ain’t slowing down – part two of their never-fookin’-ending tour is on.
Helen Henfling, Sol Astolfi, Patrick Wagner and Linn Drum throw all the mess of human existence into a blender and crank it till it rattles. Their tools: sheer sound pressure, no light whatsoever, machine beats and the almighty power of repetition. Guitars? Think proper “Gang of Four klonk.”
