***Start time of event may fluctuate give or take 10-15 minutes***Immediately following the 6PM performance of The Color Purple, there will be an on-stage conversation with Dr. Tokeya C. Graham (she/her), who is a multi-award-winning educator, writer, entrepreneur, creative, and community steward.
Her work centers racial equity, literacy, healing, and community care. Graham’s desire to create a better world informs her partnerships with historically excluded communities to create access and equity. Dr. Graham is the founder of Soulstainable Living LLC, an equity, education, and leadership consulting firm. She is also a wellrespected anti-racism educator and community activist working to dismantle oppressive systems.
Dr. Graham’s transformative messages have been widely praised by engaged audiences. She is a committed volunteer who donates time, money, and other resources to many local organizations. Her volunteer work often propels her to leadership roles. Dr. Graham has served on various boards of directors for almost 30 years. Her goal is to be a beneficial presence in the world.
This event is FREE, however if you wish to attend the performance of The Color Purple prior to the event tickets must be purchased through the Geva Box Office at 585-232-4382 or by visiting gevatheatre.org
