🎶 Audition for The Gettysburg Choral Society! 🎶We are now holding ongoing auditions for both professional singers (paid positions) and volunteer singers. We are especially looking for tenors, basses, and first sopranos.
📅 Audition Dates (by appointment only):
-January 12, 2026 — 6:30–8:30pm
-January 31, 2026 — 2:00–4:00pm
If you’d like to audition, contact us with your email address and we will send you a pre-screening questionnaire.
✅ Audition Requirements:
We encourage singers who:
-Read music 📘
-Have choral experience
-Exhibit strong vocal accuracy, tone quality, blend, and range
-Have good sight-reading skills (a definite plus!)
-Are 18 years or older
Please note: If you cannot read music, you will not qualify.
🎼 2026 Spring Schedule:
Attendance is required for:
-Dress rehearsals: May 12 & May 18
-Mandatory Saturday rehearsal: April 18
-Spring concerts: May 23 & 24
💼 Professional Singers Needed (Paid Positions!):
We seek highly trained, degreed professional vocalists—especially tenors, basses, and first sopranos.
Paid singers must:
-Maintain excellent attendance
-Arrive fully prepared for all rehearsals and concerts
-Submit a resume when applying
A stipend is paid upon successful completion of the semester.
