About this Event
Join us for an exciting 2–hour Scratch programming workshop tailored for students in grades 3-5 taught by Harvard grad students! This hands-on session will introduce learners to coding using the fun and interactive platform, Scratch. No previous Scratch or coding experience necessary! Students will work in pairs to brainstorm, plan, and create their own unique projects, whether it’s a game, an animation, an interactive story or more! Students will learn how to navigate the Scratch interface, use coding blocks to bring their ideas to life, and develop problem-solving and collaboration skills along the way.
In the workshop, students will get to know each other. After learning about how pair programming works, students will pair up to make a project. Join us for a creative and educational adventure into the world of coding! This workshop will be facilitated by members of the Creative Computing Lab at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
