You are invited to join Getting to 1 Coalition for our 13th General Meeting, on Monday October 21st, 2024. Meeting will be in-person at Kent Branch Library (in community room) from 10:30am to 12:00pm. This will be a part two focused on Home Visiting Programs in Lucas County. Part 1 was in January and was so well received and there was so much more to discuss, we decided to do a part two! (No worries if you missed part 1!) Information will be relevant for both families as well as professionals who work with families! Snacks will be served.
Rational: Data shows that home visiting services are a protective factor against infant mortality. We have multiple home visiting type programs in Lucas County, but too often staff and community members have confusion regarding the differences of these programs, including what they consist of and who is eligible. Ensuring families are timely connected to appropriate programs is instrumental to family health and the success of these programs.
Activity: Event will consist of both a Panel Discussion and time for participants network/visit tables (each program will have a table to set up promo materials and interact with participants). Event is open to professionals and the public/families. Snacks will be provided.
Outcome: Decrease confusion/misunderstanding between home visiting programs, and promote awareness, and increase utilization of home visiting programs.
