Are you new to online study? Want to meet other students in your area?
Presented by Curtin University and the Great Southern Universities Centre Albany, this FREE workshop for uni students is designed to help you navigate your online learning platform so you can start your studies with confidence.
Dates:
Saturday 1 February, 9am to 1pm (Curtin Enrolled Nurse to Registered Nurse student session)
Saturday 1 March, 9am to 1pm (General student session - open to students from other Australian universities)
As well having all your questions answered, you’ll learn how to:
- Access and navigate the Curtin platforms and similar uni platforms
- Find your lectures, assessment info, course materials, library catalogue and more
- Access free study facilities and local, face-to-face study skills developmen
- Access academic and wellbeing support through your study provider
- Manage your time and plan for study success
- Find and apply for scholarships for regional students
- Meet mentors.
You’ll have ample opportunity to test drive your platform and systems with hands-on support from university staff. Morning tea and lunch included for students to meet and connect.
Please note: You will need to Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) (preferably a laptop) for activities on the day. If you don’t have a device, please state this when you register.
