Getting started with writing your real and imagined stories - An interactive workshop facilitated by Lynne Hunt

Date: Saturday April 6

Time: 1- 4pm

About the workshop:

Do you have a story idea but don’t quite know how to put pen to paper—or fingers to keyboard? In this interactive workshop with Lynne Hunt storytelling is deployed to explore the power of stories. With a focus on motivation, you will make a start on writing your own real and imagined stories. Creative and fun, the workshop also includes reflective analysis of writing and storytelling giving you a solid foundation from which to begin.

About Lynne:

Storytelling lies at the heart of Lynne’s work and she draws on stories from all her books when delivering public lectures and community-based storytelling workshops.

Awarded the 2002 Prime Minister’s Award for Australian University Teacher of the Year, Lynne also received an Australian Executive Endeavour Award in 2009. A passionate teacher, Lynne has co-edited three books about university teaching, and ‘Claremont Cameos’ – a book about teachers in Western Australia. She wrote a chapter about rural women published in the book, ‘Yilgarn, A good country for hardy people’ and many of her publications are now available open-source through ResearchGate. Her most recent work Making Meaning: Making Sense (Linellen Press 2022) is available through  https://www.amazon.com.au/Making-Meaning-Sense-Lynne-Hunt/dp/1922727385
