This is a six-week employability course for asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in Edinburgh. This course is for parents at The Welcoming.About this Event
In this course, you will learn how to search for jobs, write job applications and cover letters, improve interview skills, and learn about work culture in Scotland and UK employment rights.
Subsidies, including childcare and transport, can be provided.
This six-week course takes place weekly for 2 hours.
The capacity of the course is 15 people per session.
The venue is 20/1 Westfield Avenue, Edinburgh.
- Week 1: Finding work in Scotland (Tuesday 7th May)
- Week 2: Writing CVs (Tuesday 14th May)
- Week 3: Interviews (Tuesday 21st May)
- Week 4: Rights & Responsibilities in the Workplace (Tuesday 28th May)
- Week 5: Scottish work culture (Tuesday 4th June)
- Week 6: Practice interviews / Q&A session (Tuesday 11th June)
