Designing projects and programmes to maximise the potential for impact from research
About this Event

This session is run by Dr Sarah Thomas, Assistant Director – Insight and Evaluation, NIHR Centre for Business Intelligence and the University of Southampton.

In this interactive session Sarah will share some practical tools and tips for researchers designing and delivering programmes and projects. She will introduce the tools and explain how they can be used to help researchers think through the ‘line of sight’ for their research, focusing on the benefits and changes researchers are aiming to contribute to. Participants will come away from the workshop with additional knowledge and skills in how they can plan for impact, maximising the potential for their work to make a difference. The session will be led by Sarah Thomas who is an experienced evaluator and assessor of research impact, with a focus on pragmatic, theory-led evaluation of projects and programmes.
