This Meet will be held over the first Saturday & Sunday of March in 2025. Meeting from 7am at Lakes Beach Carpark in Budgewoi, same place as last time. For those wishing to join we will be heading off to a camp in Jilliby State Conservation Area or Olney State Forest depending on numbers for an overnight camp around midday. The path in here is quite easy access but 4H is advised, Trailers will be fine although Caravans might be tight heading into the Jilliby camp.
Sunday Morning will be an early rise to be packed up and on the road by around 7:30am before heading into Ourimbah State Forest to join with the Four Wheel Drive Association of NSW, Forestry Corp and others for Clean Up Australia Day. Clean Up Australia Day is open to EVERYONE regardless of vehicle.
If you do not wish to camp but wish to attend the Meet & Greet you may or if you wish to head home after camp that is your choice but I am encouraging everyone to join Clean Up Australia Day to show we all want to do our part to help keep these areas open and clean. Food, Drinks & somewhere to sleep.
Clean Up:
Drinks, Enclosed shoes or boots, Please NO Thongs or Crocs as you may be required to walk into the scrub. Long pants are also advised. Box Trailers are also handy but you don't need one. I think a few of us will already be bringing one, dont forget some rope or tie downs if you bring a trailer to cover your load. First Aid Kit.
Forestry Corp will supply gloves, heavy duty garbage bags and a place to unload the collected rubbish. They generally put on a sausage sizzle after the event as well.
