Get up to Speed with STEM is a live, annual, one-day showcase event which aims to introduce, inform and inspire students, parents and teachers about the world of work in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing (STEM) sectors. It’s a superb, highly interactive careers showcase which, for over ten years, has promoted STEM-related career opportunities to over 44,000 young people, educators and families from across the Sheffield City Region and beyond.
Who’s it for?
- Young People aged 8-25: At this highly interactive careers showcase, there’s lots to see and do, with plenty of hands-on experiences. There’s also the chance to speak to employers and people already working in the industry, including apprentices and graduates. You can also find out about career pathways and opportunities.
- Educators: Find out about the wide range of career opportunities for young people across the sector, establish employer links, and connect the curriculum to real life experiences.
