About this Event
Are you interested in becoming a trustee or belonging to a board?
Do you want to know more about what it could mean to take on such a role before making a commitment?
Macc is holding an information and networking event to promote the role and impact of trusteeship. We want to encourage connections between potential trustees and directors and the recruiting charities and organisations from the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector.
Participants will:
- Hear about ‘What is trusteeship?’, along with good examples of what it means and feels like to belong to a board or committee
- Network with other would-be trustees, and meet a host of groups and organisations that are actively recruiting trustees and board members
- Have an opportunity to ask questions to an expert panel: ‘Ask us anything about trusteeship’
This event is:
- tailored to people with no or some understanding of what it means to be a trustee
- aims to introduce and promote trusteeship and show the value that trustee volunteering adds to community organisations and charities
- Provide information and support opportunities to help get people started on their trusteeship journey
- Offer an opportunity (with no pressure) to explore potential trustee vacancies with Manchester charities
N.B. If you represent a group or organisation that is actively recruiting trustees or board/committee members, please refer to the booking process for this event via the Manchester Community Central website.
Don’t miss this opportunity to join Macc, to support voluntary organisations & active citizens to strengthen governance together in Manchester and support the amazing work that goes on across the City.
This event is made possible through funding via MCC and Health through Young Manchester.
