Black Bird Collective is an inclusive indie-rock group. GOOMW album is about stepping into one's voice+power. The way we do that is return to the space of mind in our lives where we were unscathed - usually the space where we find the inner child in each of us that was filled with wonder for doing and living.
Creation of the work came from the band's lead singer writing 80% of the album, two weeks before the crew was going to hit the studio.
The result of this method created a powerful, authentic sound. There was no time to get lost in semantics - we all just went into the project and painted a blueprint, collectively.
