Have you #gottogetout and explore Tamaki Makaurau?
Thanks to Auckland Transport , Got To Get out is hosting a series of walks & hikes to showcase the city's best trails and paths!
We hope these events will inspire more of our community to consider walking to work / school / play, to make Auckland a healthier happier city.
These collaborative walks are FREE and include everything you would expect from a guided GTGO experience; including expert leaders, first aid, route planning, korero and useful information shared during the day.
Please book a ticket to help us manage numbers, and invite your friends and whanau to join in too!

INFO
For this adventure, we're doing an 'urban walk' called Waikōwhai Walkway
We will meet at Taumanu Reserve on the Onehunga foreshore for a 9am start.
We will stop along the way for a snack at a scenic spot, and for our guides to point out different features of the trail. Bring something to eat and to share!

Public transport is an ideal option for getting there. To plan your journey, use the Journey Planner: https://at.govt.nz/bus-train-ferry/journey-planner/ or call 09 366 6400
The 309 and 68 buses stop close to Taumanu Reserve.
You could also take the train or bus to Onehunga centre, then walk along Princes St and cross the Taumanu Reserve bridge.
At the end of the day we will take bus route 68 to get back to the starting point.

Safety / risk disclosure:
This is a technically easy walk, though you need to be fit enough for 2-3 hours (under 15km) of walking. You should have any first-aid you need, and have completed our disclosure form.

How to join:
Please book a ticket as spaces are limited!

You will need to 'sign in' using Got To Get Out's risk disclosure form (www.gottogetout.com/check-in) before arrival.

Bring:
Come with water, snacks, enclosed shoes, and sun / wind / rain protection! (exact gear list will follow to ticket holders).
