Join us for “Native Narratives and Nibbles,” a special panel discussion and brunch on Saturday, August 16, from 11 am–1 pm at the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Arts (MoCNA). This moderated conversation will feature notable Indigenous film and television creators discussing the present and future of Indigenous storytelling on screen.
The panel will spotlight the filmmakers behind The Collective Spirit Legacy Short Films, presented by First Peoples Fund. These four short films celebrate the wisdom, artistry, and lasting impact of Culture Bearers from Native communities across the country. The panel is moderated by James Lujan (Taos Pueblo), Chair, IAIA Cinematic Arts and Technology department.

This event is part of the Get Indigenous Film Festival (GIFF), a multimedia component of the Santa Fe Indian Market, proudly sponsored by the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA), Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA), and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture (MIAC). GIFF showcases dynamic work by Indigenous creators at the forefront of film and television.
Brunch Menu
Enjoy a selection of bacon, vegetable, green chile, and cheese frittatas; breakfast potatoes; fruit and garden salads; orange juice and lemonade; and ice cream cups. Brunch served to guests attending the panel discussion.
