Get in Gear: Acting Tools for Performers

This FREE 3-hour workshop is designed for Las Vegas actors and creative professionals—dancers, singers, commercial actors, and performers who are looking to transition into or refine their skills in on-camera work for TV and film. We’ll focus on practical acting techniques as well as an intro to essential business insights, from branding yourself to navigating agents and networking.
About the Instructor: Cassandra Blair, known for her role as Vanessa in the Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated series Jury Duty, has been working in TV and film for over a decade and is a Peabody recipient and Independent Spirit Award winner.
Age: This workshop is best suited for actors age 18+

Info: Get familiar with the scene through a cold read and discussion. Learn to identify relationships, objectives, and scene arcs, then explore key acting tools—history, substitution, and physicalization—through coached exercises.

Info: Selected actors will perform scenes on camera. As a group, we’ll watch playback, analyze what works, and discuss how to make performances more authentic and connected.
