Get Folked!
Feadóg + Smoking Pilchards + Callum Kenworthy
Come join us for a night of diverse performances from local musicians at The Fish Factory Art Space! Including performances from:
Feadóg - Born from a mutual love of performing live music and Guinness, Feadóg (EST. 2022) is the creation of Seamus Mckenna, and Charlie Reader.
Both professional solo artists in their own rights with hours of gigs under their belts, they long spoke of forming a duo combining Charlie’s “One man Band” style performance and Seamus’ passion for traditional folk music.
With Penny whistle, Bouzouki, Banjo, Guitars, Kick drum and tambourine in hand… Expect a melee of harmonious harmonies and foot stomping, table bashing, pint swilling, Guinness fuelled musical mayhem.
Smoking Pilchards - Smokin’ Pilchards are an alternative nautical folk group based across Cornwall and the Midlands playing high energy foot stomping tunes telling tales of weird and wonderful characters, M**der and fish.
With infectious sax driven riffs and punchy soulful vocals, the pilchards have been delighting audiences at pubs, clubs and festivals all over the country for nearly a decade and are a must see live band!
Callum Kenworthy - Hailing from Falmouth, Cornwall, singer songwriter Callum Kenworthy crafts personal and touching songs, drawing on experiences and relationships of all kinds; romantic, friendships and family ties.
His unique style of guitar playing blends a range of styles, including both modern and more established flamenco and percussive techniques, to form his own exceptional indie folk music, and Callum explains how his sound has developed; “As an introverted person from a young age I’ve always found comfort in soft, emotional folk music. As I grew older my tastes expanded exponentially and a love for rhythmically rich music from different cultures became more prominent.I like to think my sound is an amalgamation of what I like to hear combined with the influence of the undeniable inspiring beauty of the rugged and wild Cornish coastline that I call home.”
