This 6 WEEK CHAIR YOGA WORKSHOP/ CLASS SERIES will assist in making many yoga postures attainable for you even if you have mobility limitations, range of motion or balance issues that can restrict you from participating in a traditional yoga practice. We will strive to meet your individual needs. The 6 week class series will include basic movements, static poses, balances, Pranayama (breathwork) stability, strength and stretching, as well as guided meditation and relaxation. These mind-body tools assist in success at individual levels. This is the class for you if you are up to the challenge of getting FIT WHILE U SIT!

Class Descriptions:
Week 1: We kick off the series on Friday, November 8th with “Healing Your Heart through the Holiday Season” with special guest Denise Sherman, Holistic Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, owner of Second Wind Wellness and bestselling author of “A Second Wind After Loss”.
Gather together with us in the lovely, inviting space of One Yoga as we focus on cultivating gratitude and joy in a heart that is navigating feelings of loneliness and sadness that can sometimes accompany the holiday season, especially for those that have been healing from a loss: be it the loss of a loved one, loss of a beloved pet, a break-up, loss of job, loss of sense of purpose, loss of good health… there are many types of losses that we experience and grieve throughout our lives and our hearts need nurturing to heal. We hope you can join us in this supportive, positive environment where we will learn heart-opening practices and strategies through simple breathing techniques, movement and use of essential oils and sound healing mediations. If you know someone that can benefit from this workshop series, please bring them along.
Week 2: Here, we focus on the first of the 5 senses. One of the best ways to relieve stress and anxiety at Holiday time or ANYtime is to bring our awareness to the here and now. To really be in the moment and just experience what is occurring right now. One of the best ways to do that is to hone in on the 5 senses. What we see, what we hear, what we smell, what we feel and what we taste. This week is all about becoming laser focused on what we “see” even learn how to see aura’s.
Week 3: Smell/ essential oils aromatherapy movements tie in with that particular sense.
Week 4: Taste “tasteful” meditation.
Week 5: Touch/Feel your energy as well as another person’s energy.
Week 6: Sound and auricular therapy and the healing heart bowl.
