We have chosen three 19th century soup recipes to chase away winter's chill - and what could be better than pairing each of them with a winter cocktail ? Enjoy Queen Victoria's Brown Windsor Soup paired with mulled wine ; Irish Potato Soup paired with a gingerbread winter warmer; and Pottage Stew paired with a hot toddy.
