But your definition of success has been dictated from your supervisor, peers, family, teachers.
You've followed what you're "supposed" to do to get ahead.
But it you’re anything like me, you’ve had to work hard at that and there have been many blocks along the way!
I never fitted exactly.
I spent over 20 years in academia, moved countries, delayed family, focused on career ladders to the detriment of my health, worked for free to show my motivation to be a professor.
I'd had enough and left in 2021 to become a coach and consultant. Now, I've helped hundreds of academics to get clear on a career plan with less stress!
As I transitioned, I applied to dozens of jobs and achieved many interviews in industry.
Yet it was soul-destroying to read through job specifications and try to fit into them with the things I had done before.
This masterclass will engage you in the following:
? Getting clear on what you want
? Finding your unique strengths, abilities and assets
? Finding job options with confidence
? Identifying a strategy to move you toward your life/career goals
Once you've done the work on yourself, rediscovering yourself and you identity and vision, you can communicate it clearly to others.
? You might also learn that they need you more than you need them.
This can save you lots of time since you then won't be applying to every job that matches your skill set. That is, you can decide if they are right for your current career path. If not, don't apply!
