Featured Visual Artists
- Acevedo's work is deeply rooted in being an observer of the human experience. She believes art is not merely an aesthetic experience but a spiritual one. A mirror reflecting the divine in our everyday lives. Her goal is to inspire connection and ignite reflection. Every piece Acevedo create is a love letter to the human spirit and a celebration of our capacity to express it.
- Dominic Moret is an Illustrator/Oil Painter. His approach to illustration is to guide the viewer into a composition with color and light. While using colors that may be represented in the real world, certain colors are intentionally enhanced to add a vibrancy that may not be initially captured through a photograph. It is through these techniques that he hopes to connect with the viewer, showing them a scene that evokes feelings of nostalgia and sentiment.
- Ethan Flood is a Philadelphia-based artist pursuing a BFA in painting at the Tyler School of Art who creates work centered on ritual and cultural inheritance through painting and drawing. Referencing his experience as an Eagle Scout, Flood’s work uses found images, memorabilia, uniforms, and loose brushwork to construct disjointed narratives shaped by coded gestures. Flood’s practice examines how traditions and objects accumulate meaning over time, revealing traces of authority and cultural decay.
– Sourcing magazines, newspapers, and archives from the late 60s to the early 70s, Hailey Stefanov creates oil paintings that intentionally blur the lines between time periods. She looks back to a time period with fewer distractions for compassion to strangers and friends alike. Aiming to create paintings that make her feel that unity is possible, she focuses on the physical and emotional connection of the figures she paints.
– Holly James-Gordon is a local photographer in Philadelphia. She loves all kinds of photography, but her favorite to take are people in landscapes. She loves her city. She loves to hike and find new places to take pictures. A mom of two girls, she has a studio in the Port Richmond section of the city.
–Ibi Padrón Venegas is a Mexican-American emerging artist based in Philadelphia with a focus on muralism and 2D artworks. Their art practice favors various paints, ink pens, markers, and sculptural experimentation. At their core, Ibi is an investigator who is constantly inspired by the sciences, natural history, and questions on human nature. Their compositions are designed to ensnare the senses with textured forms and rich, colorful contrasts. The subjects of their work often feel otherworldly, creature-like and at times, of magical nature.
– Kristine "Kris" Pham is an illustrator and 2D animator in the greater Philadelphia region. She completed her BFA in Illustration and Minor in Animation at the University of the Arts. Her style is largely vibrant colors contained in calm lines, with her main inspirations being Asian media, the natural world, and human emotions. She is fascinated with capturing a moment or feeling.
– Shanea is an emerging digital artist who transforms 3D renders into tangible works of art through print. Blending technical precision with a creative sense of composition, her work explores form, light, and texture in the virtual space before bringing it into the physical world. Each piece reflects a curiosity for modern aesthetics and experimental design, capturing moments that feel both futuristic and deeply personal.
– reva, from mercury! is a self-taught mixed-media collage and assemblage artist. reva mainly incorporates thrifted/found items, personal souvenirs, and childlike craft objects in her pieces. reva's vibrant art is influenced by deep sadness and whimsy, these emotions evoked through Afro-futurist and fantasy themes. Bright colors, eye-catching textures, meticulously layered landscapes, and portal motifs transport viewers to the intricate worlds that exist in reva's brain.
