A Christmas market, also known as Weihnachtsmarkt, is a German Christmas street market! These markets originated in Germany, but are now held in many other countries. We bring a little taste of Weihnachtsmarkt to Jacksonville! This year, we'll have 6 market nights! Dec 6&7, Dec 13&14, Dec 20&21This is our 4th year holding our Christmas market and it was a huge success last year- so much so that we didn't expect it! We were able to learn a lot about how to make things flow easier this year. PLEASE READ!
Here's what to expect:
- Buchner's is a German restaurant and bierhalle with a small biergarten in the back.
- We will have a rotation of 6-7 local vendors each market night- our vendors embrace the Christmas spirit and gift giving with decorated booths and gifts worth giving!
- There will be a Buchners delicacies tent in the biergarten serving classic Weihnachtsmarkt mulled wine (Gluhwein), pastries and savory bites for guests to purchase while they enjoy the market.
There are two ways to enjoy the market:
1. MAKE A RESERVATION to sit down and enjoy our full dinner menu AND walk around and enjoy the market. limit 2 hours. Email [email protected] for reservations. *Get in the reservation line when you arrive to see host.
2. NO RESERVATION, NEEDED. Guests can just come and walk around the market and you can order drinks at the bar or visit the Buchners delicacies tent in the biergarten. We will have some seating for non-reservations but limited. stay as short or long as you like* walk-ins are also limited to capacity so you may wait a few minutes in the no-reservation line as we rotate guests for safety reasons.
We'll have the biergarten fire rolling, lights and tree up! Join us in the festivities!
