About this Event
Dear wine lovers,
This April I invite you to come and discover some iconic grapes and wines from the place it all started -- the country of Georgia, which is widely considered the cradle of modern winemaking and boasts more than 500 indigenous grape varieties.
From the traditional use of clay amphorae to the origins of orange wines, we'll discover some of the countries's most famous indigenous grape varieties, including Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane, Tsitska, Saperavi and Danakharuli. Never heard of them? That's why you need to come to this wine tasting and food pairing experience! ;-)
We'll also discover why winemakers outside Georgia are starting to cultivate some Georgian wines.
We will taste at l east eight wines including white, orange and red wines, and finish with an off-dry KIndzmarauli wine made from Saperavi grapes. The wines will be presented by Alevino, a local Georgian wine importer.
As usual, the wine will be paired with plenty of good food prepared by the Comptoir Rodin in a sit-down dinner.
The tasting costs 70 euros and participation is limited to the first 30 people who sign up.
Book early to reserve your spot!
I hope to see you there!
