About this Event
Thursday 6th February 2025 19:30 to 21:30
Archaeologists have recently discovered traces of the Qvevri, ancient clay vessels used for winemaking, near the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, dating back over 8000 years, therefore evidence suggests that Georgia is the oldest winemaking country in the world!
After years of travelling and gaining first-hand experience making wine around the world, Levan Chychynadze returned to his homeland, Georgia, to establish Tiko Estate. Today Tiko is fast becoming one of Georgia’s most exciting young wineries of the Kakheti region.
Join us for an evening of all things Georgian with Levan Chychynadze to explore Georgia’s rich history, ancient winemaking traditions, unique native grape varieties, and the traditional processes behind Tiko Estate's exceptional wines.
We will be tasting 6 wines with Levan:
Tiko Estate Pet Nat 2023
Tiko Estate Mtsvane 2023
Tiko Estate Rkatsiteli 2022
Tiko Estate Orange Kisi 2022
Tiko Estate Saperavi 2021
