Georgia O’Keeffe: an artist ahead of her time:Georgia O’Keeffe’s enchanting floral still lifes are now a deeply ingrained part of American culture—so much so they often eclipse her other colorful accomplishments in art and in her life.

Born 130 years ago Georgia O’Keeffe was an Avant Garde artist and a foodie that played a pivotal role in the development of American modernism...a woman ahead of her time and an artist for all time.
Presenter Carl Shatley holds a Master of Arts degree from Duke University in History and a Bachelor of Arts in Art from Greensboro College and studied at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He has lectured at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Greensboro College, Guilford Technical Community College and Davidson County Community College. Carl is also an accomplished artist and exhibits his paintings in numerous exhibits.
