Georgia Driver's Education Scholarship Program for Teens

To redee m your Georgia Driver's Education Scholarship voucher and register for the Atlanta Technical College Driver's Education class select a start date above. 

Classes that start on Mondays are 5-days Monday through Friday of that week.

Classes that start on Saturdays are 5 consecutive Saturdays.  

Times: 9am - 3:30pm

Classes that start on Fridays are (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) for two weeks.

Friday's Times: 6pm-9pm

Saturday Times: 9am-3:30pm

Sunday Times: 9am-3:30pm

This 36-hour driving course is designed to teach the fundamentals of driving. Students will participate in 30 hours of classroom instruction (5-days) and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

• Develop knowledgeable, responsible, collision-free drivers, who can better assess and manage risk

•  Learn the tasks to be performed in the operation of a motor vehicle.

•  Learn that safe driving is a matter of managing risk through the management of visibility, time, and space within the limits of available traction.

        BEHIND-THE-WHEEL  

• Please note that before a driver can participate in the BTW training, the driver must have a valid learner's permit. 

• Driver must arrive on time for all reserved appointments.

• If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment, there will be a $60 fee for each day you missed. A fee will be charged to the credit card number on file.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

Please arrive at least 30 MINUTES PRIOR to your scheduled class! You must bring VALID state-issued identification!  Please print a copy of your confirmation/receipt and bring it with you!  Parent/Guardian must attend a mandatory 30-minute orientation on the first day of class. 

*NOTE:  Refunds are only issued due to campus closure (ie. inclement weather/emergency) or insufficient enrollment. Each course is carefully monitored to ensure sufficient enrollment.  Students will be notified at least 48 hours prior to the start of the class should cancellation be necessary. Please check your emails frequently for important updates and communication from our office.
