GEORGIA beer history begins with the state's first brewery opening in 1738 on Jekyll Island by Major William Horton, which is one of the South’s first breweries. As time passed, and prohibition faded away in the 1900's; the southern beer world thrived in Georgia. And with a craft brewery boom in the early 90's, the state now has nearly 200 operating breweries, producing over 500,000 barrels of beer annually.
To celebrate the fermented phenomenons of the Empire State of the South, Fermental will fill the draft lines with a hand selected list of gorgeous Georgian greatness.
