The George M. Lechner Memorial Scholarship Fund Committee is hosting the 7th annual “George’s Pony Rides: A Night at the Races!” in honor of our father who sadly lost his battle with lung cancer in May, 2018. This event is to help support local students with their education, in George’s honor. Admission is $25 per ticket and includes food and 3 beverages. Tickets for admission 🎟 will be available for sale soon! The committee will be selling HORSES now (which you get to name!) 🐎 JOCKEYS & TRAINERS for the event. Each is $20 to purchase with a 1 in 10 chance to win $100 if your pony or jockey or trainer is the race winner. 🏆
Please respond to this event, PM me, or reach out to any other committee members to reserve your horses, trainers & jockeys. Committee members include George’s children and their spouses.
More information and details about the event will be available soon so continue to check Facebook for updates as well as sneak peeks of all the FABULOUS prizes! The committee is also finalizing a letter to begin collecting donations from local community members, local businesses, family and friends for the upcoming event.
The committee is very excited to celebrate George’s life with a fun filled night at the races in Altoona at the Bavarian Club. We hope to see everyone there!
