Join us for a celebration of the life of George, a wonderful dog and certainly a man's best friend. Hear the story of local fellrunner Jacob Tonkin and his dog George, stunningly filmed over a number of years by local filmmaker James Appleton in and around Keswick and set in the mountains we all know and love. See it here in Keswick first before it's entered into this year's global outdoor film festivals, where we are sure it will win awards for it's storytelling, humanity, emotional connection and superb cinematography. Bring tissues! We'll have an audience Q&A after the film, with Jacob on both evenings and also James for the Friday 27th event. Having seen it ourselves we know you'll have plenty of questions for once you've seen it too.
Since it is a celebration of how amazing a dog can be, why not bring yours with you? For the first time we're opening the cinema up to dogs (accompanied by their humans of course) so let's see just how chaotic and fun that can be. If you are bringing a dog, please book a seat downstairs in the stalls, rather than up on the balcony.
This will be an evening to remember for so many reasons, we guarantee it.
