Come enjoy an evening of mystical-musical wonder as Young Steinway Artist George Ko plays a completely improvised setlist at the dazzling Zipper Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. George will be playing his originals and spontaneous covers ranging from Classical to Jazz, Hip Hop, Anime, and film music. You will also have the unique opportunity to create a song together this evening during the recital.
Doors will open at 7 pm. The recital will start at 7:30 pm. Merchandise will be available to be purchased as well. There will be a brief reception in the lobby afterward.
Tickets are for General Admission. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. (Note from George: The hall is gorgeous, so every seat is fantastic.)

Known for his alluring sound, expressivity, and eloquence at the keyboard, pianist/composer George Ko has appeared on stages around the world, from 2000 seat auditoriums to Carnegie Hall. His music has been heard at film festivals, television broadcasts of ABC and CBC, and at music festivals in Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, and China. His recordings have appeared on films at the Tribeca Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Lifetime, and on Netflix. His current discography encapsulates his musical style inspired by classical, jazz, R&B, and pop genres. It is in the pursuit of this style, George has created his very own improvisational technique, blending the virtuosity of classical and flexibility of jazz.
George is an honors graduate of Harvard University, where he received the David McCord Prize for Creativity in Music. He has given inaugural concerts for the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Bowers Museum, and the Fogg Museum. He was invited to play at the request of President Joe Biden, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Senator Barbara Boxer.
George is based in Los Angeles, California. He is a Young Steinway Artist
