We’ll kick things off with a quick-and-dirty geology crash course (via video), then break into groups for some hands-on fun! You’ll match fossils like a prehistoric puzzle master, identify minerals like a pro rockhound, and get up close and personal with rock samples and thin-section slides under a microscope. It’s science, but make it rock! A representative from the Austin Geological Society will be presenting the program. No registration is required. The program will take place in the Library Annex and will start promptly at 1pm. For children ages 4-10.
