The next in Geoff Page's long-running monthly reading series will feature Todd Turner and Kathy Kituai.
Todd Turner is an Australian poet, and goldsmith. His first two collections of poetry are 'Woodsmoke' (Black Pepper Publishing) and 'Thorn' (Puncher and Wattmann). His poems have been widely published and anthologised. Todd was awarded the Jean Cecily Drake-Brockman Poetry Prize and has been highly commended and short-listed for numerous awards including the Mary Gilmore Prize, the Anne Elder Award, the Blake and the Newcastle Poetry Prize. He is currently working on a manuscript for his third collection, 'Breathwork'.
Kathy Kituai: Poet, diarist and assistant editor for The Institute of PNG Studies, creative editor for Muse and tanka editor for Cattails, Kathy has facilitated creative writing courses in Scotland, SA, NSW, and ACT since 1990, and is published in Japan, UK, USA, Canada, India, New Zealand, PNG and Australia. A host for Poetry at Manning Clark House, she also founded and facilitated Limestone Tanka Poets for 10 years. Kathy is a recipient of a two Canberra Critic awards. Her new and selected, 'The Art of Catching Jam Before it Burns', featuring poetry from 1992 to 2023, is due out 2024.
