Celebrated writer Geoff Dyer returns with See/Saw: Looking at Photographs, a lavishly illustrated history of photography in essays. Taking in photographers from early in the last century to the present day, Dyer offers a series of moving, witty, prescient, and intimate encounters with images. A paean to art and art writing by one of our liveliest critics, See/Saw shows how a photograph can simultaneously record and invent the world. Dyer lives in Los Angeles where he is writer-in-residence at USC.
