In collaboration with the YMCA, the Enka-Candler Library will be hosting a Gentle Yoga and Guided Meditation Series this fall.This event will take place on Tuesdays from 1-2 PM (9/16, 10/21, 11/18 & 12/16).
All are welcome, from novices to advanced practitioners.
Supporting props, such as mats, blocks, blankets and straps will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own.
Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga is a slower paced yoga. You will learn to combine breathing with flowing postures and a restorative meditative mental state.
This gentle, but deep approach to Vinyasa yoga, where the postures (Asana) are generally held for longer times, allows time to explore the mind-body-spirit connection while cultivating strength, flexibility, balance, and calm.
The class culminates in a 5 - 10 minute guided meditation during the final relaxation posture.
No registration is required.
