Discover the beauty of Japanese ink art in this calming and creative workshop led by artist Junko, specially designed for seniors as part of the Seniors Festival.
In this hands-on session, you’ll begin by preparing your own ink, then explore the art of Sumi-e (ink painting) and learn how to create and use different ink tones, master brush techniques, and express yourself through graceful, flowing strokes.
🖌️ With Sumi-e, you’ll learn to observe and interpret nature—like leaves, flowers, or birds—and express their essence using brush pressure, rhythm, and tone. It’s not just about painting—it’s about slowing down, connecting with your surroundings, and discovering more about yourself through the process.
This workshop is gentle, welcoming, and perfect for beginners. All materials are provided, and no prior art experience is necessary.
