Genocide in Gaza
This is a crucial opportunity to educate yourself and stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza. Don't miss out on this eye-opening event!
Join us for an educational session aimed at empowering the Muslim and wider communities to push back against the racist ideology of Zionism which is driving the genocide in Gaza. We will ask what is Zionism and how and why is it intrinsically racist and genocidal.
We will also look at the role of Zionism in the all-out assault on the pro-Palestine movement in this country including attempts to ban BDS and to criminalise slogans such as #FromTheRiverToTheSea or flying the Palestinian flag as if these acts of anti racist resistance were themselves racist. We will also look at how the Zionist movement is making a specific contribution to fostering and spreading Islamophobia through a variety of means including the invention and popularising of words such as 'Islamist' and concepts such as 'Islamic terrorism'.
The event will also give a concise history of the weaponisation of anti-Semitism and how individuals, activists and groups can have the confidence to fight back against Zionist trolls and assumptions.
