Geneviève Racette, a highly acclaimed folk-pop musician from Québec, has captured the hearts of listeners with her gentle yet compelling emotional resonance. Since her debut EP in 2014, she has gained remarkable industry support for her folk-pop tracks. Geneviève has become a rising star in both the French and English-speaking Canadian music scenes, known for her vulnerable lyricism and ethereal vocals.
Her third full-length record, "Satellite," released in March 2022, is a collection of nine songs that share honest stories of self-discovery and reflection through the cycle of love. Satellite has received unprecedented recognition since its release, with glowing reviews from major outlets like Rolling Stone, Exclaim!, CBC, Women of Americana, Americana Music Association, Sirius XM, and numerous other publications and radio stations. One standout track on the album is "Someone," a beautiful duet with City and Colour’s Dallas Green.
Geneviève's career trajectory has seen a remarkable ascent since her previous album, "No Water, No Flowers," which propelled her from regional recognition in Quebec to national acclaim. She earned a Canadian Folk Music Award, performed with City and Colour at Osheaga, and received rave reviews from various media outlets, music publications, and blogs.
