James Teej, a Grammy-nominated (2017 Best Remixed Recording) Canadian electronic music artist, producer, and DJ currently based in Victoria, British Columbia, has built a distinguished 30-year career that has elevated him to one of Canada’s most respected figures in the global underground electronic scene. Known for his boundary-pushing sound that seamlessly spans house, techno, and electronica, Teej has released music on some of the world’s most respected imprints, including Rekids, Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical, Rebirth, No.19 Music, and Sasha’s Last Night On Earth.
His two critically acclaimed solo albums and contributions to prestigious compilations like Fabric and Global Underground (mixed by Jamie Jones and Dave Seaman) underscore his consistent creative output. As a highly sought-after remixer and collaborator, Teej has worked with legends such as Paul McCartney & Wings, Moby, Sasha, Trentemøller, Timo Maas, and Hernán Cattáneo, earning widespread respect from peers and top-tier DJ support from Pete Tong, Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Damian Lazarus, and many others. His innovative productions and remixes continue to resonate across the international underground landscape.
An accomplished live performer, James has graced the decks of iconic venues worldwide, including Fabric (London), Panorama Bar (Berlin), DC10 (Ibiza), Warung (Brazil), Rex Club (Paris), and Output (New York), as well as major festivals like Zoo Project. With an ever-growing global following, Teej remains dedicated to crafting deeply emotive electronic music that transcends borders, cultures, and dance floors alike.

A dedicated music enthusiast, TIGRESS has always had a natural connection to the dance floor. It was in 2013 when she stepped up to the decks and quickly proved herself to be a natural, earning her stripes with her flavorful taste. Since then, TIGRESS has been playing shows across BC and delving into the realm of music production. Anticipate her upcoming EP and a collection of releases in 2024/2025.
With her infectious energy and keen ear for music, you can expect to hear some House-y, Tech-y,Bass-y goodness that will make you want to throw some biscuits on the bass! Beyond the decks, TIGRESS takes pride in being a co-founder of The PLUR Collective in Victoria, actively contributing to the organization of queer-centric, body-positive events that continue a legacy of activism and radical politics within the dance community.

Pushing the DJ and rave lifestyle in the Pacific Northwest since 2000, supporting the community by creating a slew of residencies, coordinating gigs for other DJs, promoting shows and developing the culture through platforms like Party People Sound Solutions, Primitive Hustle, Footwork Entertainment and PK Sound Victoria. He is currently the booking manager for The Downbeat. Creating connections and allies, trailing a wake of inspired revellers hungry for more. Primitive’s art and output has been strengthened through many collaborations. All Primitive ever wanted was to rock a party and he is guaranteed to create a sweaty mess on the dance floor. Never one to be limited by genre, Primitive’s sound connects the dots between Techno, House, Breaks and Acid, while also dabbling in offshoots of Drum and Bass including Footwork, Juke, Half Time, and Jungle. A DJ’s DJ that can burn down any dance, Primitive sets are system flexing- think big psychedelic festival set crossed with sweaty late night house party and be ready to get all the way down.
