Join the Genesee County Foster Care Coalition and Keynote speaker, Cole Williams on May 18 from 10am to 3pm. Cole Williams is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Delta Project, whose mission is to break the generational cycle of incarceration by reconnecting youth of color and their families to community relationships through mentorship, coaching, and storytelling. He is a former foster parent, adoptive parent, mentor, and community leader in Grand Rapids, Michigan.The State of Michigan has 10,000 children in foster care on any given day. In Genesee County alone, there are 488 children currently in foster care. The Genesee Foster Care Coalition is comprised of foster care serving agencies in Genesee County that work together to best meet the needs of the children in foster care.
