His journey has encompassed diverse fields like cybernetics, AI, computer vision, and social computing.

His current research is in building computing and data-driven navigational approaches for Future Health. He is cofounder of social entrepreneurship companies in AI for Health that are addressing open-source software development (Personicle.org) and open data for health research (HealthUnity.org). Dr. Humayun (Hugh) Rashid - Dr. Rashid is a practitioner-scholar with over 30 years of technology implementation experience with global healthcare and high-tech organizations in in the US, Europe and Asia.

Rashid is responsible for the business vision and technology direction for Xavor's Global Age-Tech Incubator which is focused on building preventive home self-care solutions to enhance independent living by detecting and predicting digital biomarkers and symptoms for early physical and mental rehabilitation. He is currently managing the Xavor Shanghai operation chartered with incubating a Care Companion Robot venture for the growing aging population in China and is looking for Healthcare B2B channel and investment partners.
