About this Event

Artificial Intelligence will solve all our problems.

Artificial Intelligence will take away all of our jobs.

Which is it? And what is it, anyway? Join a team of AI researchers from the Open University to explore recent developments in "Generative AI", covering what it is and what it can do, how it's being used in education and research, and reasons to be cautious, or optimistic, about it. Interactive lectures will be followed by discussion and Q&A with Prof. John Domingue (@johndmk), Dr. Aisling Third (@thirda), and Dr. David Pride (@davejavupride), of the OU's Knowledge Media Institute as well as a representative of the Scottish AI Alliance.

Event presented by the Open University in Scotland and the Knowledge Media Institute.
