About this Event
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Maine artist Paula Gerstenblatt visited the photographs of her family passed along to her by her late mother. The photographs inspired her latest collection Generational Layers, a beautiful and moving expression of the complex history of four generations of the Gerstenblatt family.
Join us Wednesday, July 19th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM for an Artist Lecture and Collage Making Workshop led by Paula Gerstenblatt.
Artist Lecture at 5:00PM: Learn more about the portraiture collection and how artist Paula Gerstenblatt wove a narrative about the multi-layered and deeply personal stories of her family through collage.
Collage Making Workshop at 6:00PM: Bring photographs of your family and learn how to construct your very own collage in a workshop led by Paula Gerstenblatt.
We ask all participants who plan to attend the Collage Making Workshop to arrive in time for the artist lecture at 5:00pm.
