About this Event
Behind every overdose statistic is a human being, a brother, daughter, uncle, friend. But today, East African families dealing with addiction and overdose are being erased from Minnesota’s public health system because our people are not counted correctly.
We are changing that.
Generation Hope, in partnership with MDH, Hennepin Health Research Institute, Alliance Wellness Center and Hennepin County, is building the first culturally informed process to identify East African overdose deaths in Minnesota. This means developing real solutions rooted in language, culture, faith, and community reality.
If you’ve lost someone. If you’re fighting for someone. If you’re tired of our pain being ignored, come be heard. Your voice will shape statewide data and policy that could save lives.
