The night is named after sadly departed MC Earl Anthony Robinson, the voice behind classic deejay tunes such as "Drunken Master".For our first session of 2025 we're excited to welcome the dynamite duo of Dawgbite and Sugar Downbeat Jr to select tunes for us, veteran record spinner meets youthman selector!
Desmond DawgBite Desuze has been on the scene for many years, spinning tunes at well respected nights such as Vinyl Meltdown, Hep Time, Reggae Cookout and many more, not to mention hosting radios shows, promoting dances and more. A skilled selector with a deep, deep knowledge to draw from, he will be coming correct with the platters that matter.
Sugar Downbeat Jr is a young up-and-coming talent with an encyclopaedic understanding of killer tunes, classic rhythms and reggae history, carrying on the traditions of his grandparents who had their own sound system. You may have seen him behind the counter at Lion Vibes, as part of Youth Downbeat Sound (r.i.p.) or behind the decks for Selector's Showcase. He made his debut at General Echo last February where he supplied a sublime set alongside KevSounds.
