The Livermore Public Library and the Livermore-Amador Genealogical Society (L-AGS) presents two free genealogy workshops on Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 2 to 5 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 24 from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Community Rooms of the Civic Center Library, 1188 South Livermore Avenue. Registration is not required for these free workshops. Attendees may drop in at any time. Volunteer genealogy docents from L-AGS will work individually with attendees on a first come, first served basis to help them conduct genealogical research using online tools such as Ancestry Library (available only onsite at library), HeritageQuest, and FamilySearch. Laptops will be available for use. Attendees are advised to bring a USB drive so they may save relevant documents. These events are open to all ability levels, from people who have never done any family history research to people who have been working on genealogy for a while.
