Plagues, pandemics and epidemics have created societal upheaval throughout history. These deadly, historic events have affected family history research in unexpected ways. Learn how these outbreaks affect your research, as well as discover resources that aid in navigating old and new records during times of societal upheaval.The program is presented by Erin A. Doyle, IT manager at the Jasper-Dubois County Public Library. Erin specializes in genealogy presentations and has been involved in her personal family history since the 1950’s, tracing her maternal lineage to colonial Maryland in the 1630’s.
The program will be presented in the elevator accessible, 3rd floor auditorium of the Vigo County History Center. Admission is free to History Center members, as well as OLLI members. Adult admission is $7 and seniors $6.
