In a Who’s Who list of top-tier mineral collectors active in the world today, Dr. Gene Meieran would rank near the top. He regularly amazes attendees of the TGMS Show in Tucson with his incredible exhibits from his personal collection, and he remains deeply active in the mineral collecting community.
So what’s his plan for his collection after he passes? Gene thought he had it all figured out – until the almost unthinkable happened. This past summer, if not for the quick actions of some colleagues in our industry, we very well could have lost Gene.
