About this Event

Gender diverse panel of athletes and organizers discuss the nature of gender, sport, and bodies in the context of the fitness industry.

Fitness4AllBodies teaches coaches, gym/studio owners, and people in the fitness industry to better understand how our bodies are connected to systems of oppression, how those systems are reinforced by the fitness industry, and how to develop a social justice lens and apply it to their work. We provide a space to come together from our fields of expertise to create new ideas and visions of what fitness can be in a way that honors and serves all of us without reinforcing patriarchal, white supremacist bodily ideals.

Accessibility

This live panel will be hosted on Zoom with ASL interpretation. Attendees will be able to interact via audio and/or typing in the chat.

Please reach out to us directly about your needs, fitness4allbodies[at]gmail.com

Pricing

When you invest in this panel, you are furthering your education and a radical shift in the fitness industry. You are supporting leaders who have carved out space for all of us beyond the dominant standards of health and beauty for the weight neutral, anti-racist, accessible, and queer and trans-affirming fitness community we all need. All proceeds are used for honorariums and to continue the work for the Fitness4AllBodies movement.

We ask that you choose a point on the sliding scale that feels personally meaningful and doable to you, knowing that people who pay higher on the sliding scale help make it possible for those who pay lower on the sliding scale to attend. If you are unsure where to pay on the sliding scale, please use this graphic of 'The Green Bottle' by Alexis J. Cunningfolk from their blog post, The Sliding Scale: A Tool of Economic Justice.

Please reach out to us if you'd like to arrange an alternative payment option or plan.

Refunds will not be granted, but a recording of the event can be made available by request. Please contact fitness4allbodies[at]gmail.com to request.
