G.E.M.S.® In Color is a 6-week self-esteem and empowerment group for girls of color in grades 6th-8th. This group aims to provide girls of color with a supportive and empowering space to explore their identities, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and foster meaningful connections with their peers.
This group utilizes the G.E.M.S. Model of Empowermentâ„¢ which focuses on the 4 C's Clarity, Connection, Consistency, and Courage. After this group girls will have greater clarity on who they are and what's important to them, establish and have the skills to make healthy connections, be consistent in showing up as their authentic selves, and have the courage to speak up and speak out.
The group meets for 90 minutes once a week for 6 weeks and the cost includes all the materials needed.
